The Mill is open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. Guided Tours take place every hour on the hour. Visitors can turn up at the mill without prebooking but under COVID-safe restrictions, numbers are limited so to be assured of places, visitors are asked to call 01969 629348 or email crafts@gaylemill in advance.

Gayle Mill Trust (GMT) is a registered charity which used to run an historic sawmill at Gayle. In April 2018 having left Gayle Mill, we set up a new workshop, the Woodcraft Studio at Raygill House Farm, near Hawes. Our commercial wood services, craft shop and heritage skill courses all operate from this workshop.

Since the start, Gayle Mill has reflected the changing industries in the Dales and the wider fortunes of UK manufacturing.
