Cycle Time - Multiple Machines. We have a part that currently goes through 6 machines before it is a final part - 2 lathes, 1 vertical mill, 2 4-axis mills, and a deburring machine. I working on determining the cycle time for each part so we can determine ROI for machines we'd like to purchase for upgrading that cell.
Help selecting a vertical Bridgeprt style mill I want to replace my old Bridgeport with a newer Bridgeport style mill, but I want a 48" to 50" bed and I want box ways on the wye axis. I do tombstone work for years on a regular basis, on horizontal 4-axis machines (B axis) and 5-axis with tailstock (both A-C and B-C), so I think I can help.
